As director of market transformation & development for the TRUE Zero Waste Certification, Stephanie Barger is responsible for the growth and development globally of the TRUE program. As of 2017, TRUE is owned and administered by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). Prior to GBCI, Barger launch the Zero Waste Certification under the U.S. Zero Waste Business Council, which she formed in January 2012. She brings over 25 years of experience in environmental stewardship, employee training, management consulting and business development. Barger has been dedicated to meeting the growing need for educational resources, peer-to-peer networking and third-party certification for businesses across the nation related to waste reduction and zero waste.
Daniel Leskovec, CHMM
Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability & Waste Reduction @Walgreens
Dan is a seasoned environmental, sustainability, health & safety professional with extensive accomplishments developing and implementing environmental, sustainability, health, safety and loss control programs. He is responsible for assisting in the strategic development and implementation of Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) environmental sustainability and waste reduction efforts. Dan is widely recognized as an environmental subject matter expert who proactively assesses continual improvement opportunities and the sharing of industry best practices. He has been providing guidance and leadership on WBA’s waste prevention and zero waste to landfill initiatives. Prior to starting his current role at Walgreens, Dan spent 13 years in environmental consulting and an additional 8 years in manufacturing, managing environmental projects and audit programs, as well as assisting in the implementation of Environmental Management Systems; such as ISO14001.
